Why I don’t sleep at movie locations – Actress Iyabo Ojo

The bond between Iyabo Ojo and her two children is phenomenal. In fact, they look like her younger siblings.

She told Sunday Scoop that they have been this way since her children were toddlers.  Ojo explained, “Even though my children are not kids anymore, I still spend a lot of time with them. I have a policy; all the producers who have worked with me know that I don’t sleep at movie locations.”

According to her, on the few occasions that she has had to sleep at movie locations, she made sure the house was in order. She said, “There have been exceptional cases when I had to do night jobs, especially when we shoot crime scenes. But I always have things planned out. On the average, I sleep at movie locations only about three times in a year.

“There was even a time I stopped taking weekend jobs because I wanted to be with my kids. The producers were always complaining, but there was nothing they could do about it. When my kids were younger and I had to be on set on weekends, I never went without them.”

Despite her strict work policies, Iyabo said she hardly has issues with producers. “Professionalism works for me. If I am given a script, I put in my best even if I am not well paid. I don’t like being idle on set. If I am tired, I will not take a job. No producer has had reason to complain about my work ethics.”
