Edo Governor Obaseki Attacked, Taraba Governor Ishaku Involved in Auto Crash
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has been attacked, just as his counterpart in Taraba State, Darius Ishaku was involved in ghastly auto crash.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media and Communication, Crusoe Osagie, the Nigeria police have declared the Managing Director of BUA’s Obu Cement Company, Yusuf Binji, wanted over an attack on the convoy of Obaseki.
Also attacked were some officials of the Edo State Government who were on the governor convoy. “According to the police, the decision to declare Binji wanted became necessary as it had earlier received intelligence that BUA International Limited is sponsoring militias in Okpella, Edo State, where the company has a cement factory and mine sites.”
TheCable has reported that Taraba State governor on Thursday escaped unhurt when his convoy was involved in an accident.
The accident occurred at Garba Chede axis, along Bali-Jalingo road around 5pm on Thursday. An aide to the governor, however, lost his life in the incident. David Misal, spokesman of the state police command said “several persons” were also injured in the accident.
