Kassim Afegbua at the Police Headquarters To Present Himself As A Responsible Nigerian Who Was Never On The Run
News had filtered in earlier that Kassim Afegbua filed a suit against the Nigeria Police Force and four other respondents namely; IGP, Ibrahim Idris, PPRO, Jimoh Moshood, the Nigeria Television Authority and Channels TV.
Afegbua sought for damages to the tune of N1billion over the witch-hunt, breach of fundamental human rights and the persecution he was subjected to by the Nigeria Police and other respondents.
In another twist to the story, Afegbua has alongside his attorney decided to heed to the broadcast of the Nigeria Police seeking for his apprehension as they stormed the Police Headquarters.
Afegbua had released a statement going all out on President Buhari and sparking reactions in the process. This was not taken with friendliness by the Nigeria Police as they declared Afegbua wanted for inciting violence and disturbing the peace of the public.
The Nigeria Police had received widespread criticisms for their distasteful reaction to Afegbua’s statements and their denial of his fundamental rights as a Nigerian.
Recent photos show Afegbua and his attorney all smile with the Inspector General of Police in a twist to the crossfire that has been on between the Police and the IBB aide for some days. – Aledeh
