Multiple US outlets reported that the 70-year-old actor and former Governor of California went into hospital for emergency open-heart surgery on Thursday.
Schwarzenegger’s spokesperson later confirmed it was a planned procedure and that he is in a “stable condition” following the surgery.
Schwarzenegger reportedly went in to have a catheter valve replaced and experienced complications, prompting doctors to carry out the surgery.
