Itinerary Of Buhari’s 2018 Official Visit to Lagos

The President Muhammadu Buhari will pay an official visit to Lagos Nigeria’s economic capital and potential third-largest economy, from Thursday  March 29th to Friday March 30th, 2018.

This will be the first working visit of the President, since he was sworn into office on May 29, 2015.

👉🏾66th Bola Tinubu Birthday Colloquium

President Buhari would be attending a colloquium marking the 66th Birthday of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at the Prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island. The theme for the colloquium is “Investing in People” and it will bring together key stakeholders across the country.

👉🏾Lekki Deep Sea Port Flag Off

This is the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Project in Epe; a multi-purpose, Deep Sea Port at the heart of the Lagos Free Trade Zone.

Lekki Deep Sea Port will be one of the most modern ports in West Africa, offering enormous support to the burgeoning commercial operation across Nigeria and the entire West African region.

👉🏾Eko Atlantic Tour

President Buhari would also tour the Eko Atlantic City which is a new coastal city being built on Victoria Island adjacent to Lagos, Nigeria, to solve the chronic shortage of real estate in the world’s fastest-growing megacity.

It is a focal point for investors capitalising on rich development growth based on massive demand–and a gateway to emerging markets of the continent.

Standing on 10 million square metres of land reclaimed from the ocean and protected by an 8.5 kilometre long sea wall, Eko Atlantic will be the size of Manhattan’s skyscraper district.

Self-sufficient and sustainable, it includes state-of-the-art urban design, its own power generation, clean water, advanced telecommunications, spacious roads, and tree-lined streets.

👉🏾Ikeja Bus Terminal

President Buhari will also lead other top dignitaries on to unveil the Ikeja Bus Terminal infrastructure.

This iconic terminal is designed to change the face of public transportation and it will convey more than 70,000 passengers daily to over 22 destinations across the state.

The terminal is one of the state’s projects towards becoming a mega city. The facility, which is sitting on 10,000 square metres land space is equipped with Intelligent Transport System (ITS), fully air-conditioned terminal, food court, shops, toilets, ATM gallery, free Wi-Fi, electronically controlled shades, among others.
