National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress has graciously extended the tenure of its National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, by one year in accordance with the Article 13 of the party’s constitution which gives the Committee the powers to do so.
The good news was disclosed to Oyegun during the APC NEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Oyegun was not alone. All APC executive members in all states of the federation also benefited from the one-year extension.
The political import of this gesture was that the Odigie-Oyegun national leadership would lead APC into the 2019 general elections.
