One of Super Eagles’ “oyinbo rock”, William Troost-Ekong and midfielder, Mikel Agu were both delighted to meet President Buhari and the Turkish President, Recep Tayip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace, Ankara, capital city of Turkey.
The Bursaspor pair were all smiles as they shook hands with the leaders who were also very happy to have them around. Ekong helped Nigeria to a World Cup ticket with his often very solid defending and has been a rock this season in the defence line of Bursaspor.
Mikel Agu who is yet to tie down a regular place in the Super Eagles but has been looked towards recently has been another important member of Bursaspor’s team this season as they hope to claim a ticket to Europe in the Turkish SuperLiga.
The Super Eagles defeated the Chipolopolo Warriors of Zambia courtesy of an Alex Iwobi solitary goal with Agu and Ekong massively present in the encounter and both offering decent shifts in the victory.
