Yes, Joshua has 21 victories, with 20 knockouts. But there are still weaknesses; limitations. Conversely, when it comes to the biggest gates, the richest fights, Joshua remains The Big Show.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>We can expect claim and counter-claim over the next few weeks, or even months, as the vying teams for Joshua and Wilder exchange emails and barbs across the Atlantic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">T<\/span>he first tasteless ones came last weekend from Wilder \u2013 who missed, or chose to miss, the biggest PR opportunity of his career by reneging on his deal with <em>Sky Sports<\/em> to commentate ringside in Cardiff \u2013 with the Alabaman claiming in a radio interview that he \u201cwanted a body\u201d on his record at some point, and mocked Joshua\u2019s tattoo of Africa as a fake symbol, because he \u201cis British, not African\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dynamicMpu section\">\n<div id=\"advert_tmg_dyn_0\" class=\"js-advert advert \">\u00a0<span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">J<\/span>oshua dismissed as distasteful Wilder\u2019s boast that his wild power-punching may one day kill an opponent in the ring.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p>\u201cI dread the day it happens because sometimes what you say comes to reality,\u201d responded the 28-year-old Briton. \u201cI just hope it doesn\u2019t happen to someone because it\u2019s not good for the sport. Once a life\u2019s gone, you can\u2019t get it back. Watch, though, after we do fight, he will shake my hand, so I don\u2019t take the personal stuff to heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Wilder\u2019s decision to stay away from Cardiff, Joshua commented: \u201cI\u2019m not disappointed he didn\u2019t come because this wasn\u2019t about Wilder. It was about Parker and me. Does he need me more than I need him? Yes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p>\u201cWithout being big-headed, that\u2019s 100 per cent. He needs British boxing. While the Londoner\u2019s last three title fights have drawn 90,000 and 80,000 twice in stadia, and each one generating upwards of \u00a325\u2009million, Wilder sells out 9,000 seats in Brooklyn, New York. Joshua is a sports star, Wilder is still relatively unknown outside boxing.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie Hearn, Joshua\u2019s promoter, said: \u201c[Wilder] He\u2019s desperate. You don\u2019t say something like \u2018I want to put somebody in a body bag\u2019 unless you\u2019re purely desperate. He has completely lost his head. It\u2019s not just a case of \u2018Anthony, take the fight\u2019. I do like to be known as a big puncher but at the same time I like to be known as someone who can box and control opponents as well.\u201d Joshua did succeed in that against Parker.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dynamicMpu section\">\n<div id=\"advert_tmg_dyn_2\" class=\"js-advert advert \"><\/div>\n<div class=\"js-advert advert \"><span class=\"m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged\">T<\/span>he unfortunate thing, however, is that he is learning on the job and the likes of Wilder, a very dangerous, fast foe, lie in waiting. \u201cI\u2019ve got no issue fighting anyone,\u201d stressed Joshua. \u201cIf you look through my record from my 21 fights, there hasn\u2019t been an issue with fighting anyone. There is no fear. There should be no holds-up and that fight should be sooner rather than later.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"articleBodyText section\">\n<div class=\"article-body-text component \">\n<div class=\"component-content\">\n<p>\u201cBoxing is booming. But we have to make sure we\u2019re ambassadors of the sport. I\u2019m doing it in a professional manner. I\u2019m not talking about catching a body or killing someone or about the Africa map. That\u2019s not negotiating, that\u2019s just talking.
