Some inscriptions on it include: \u20190% pollution,\u2018<span class=\"caps\">SOLAR<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">CAR<\/span>\u2019 and \u2018Made in Kenya.\u2019 The car is said to have the capacity to on full charge to cover about 50 km in a day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.euronews.com\/articles\/47\/29\/472927\/1024x576_bonus-Solarr.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.euronews.com\/articles\/47\/29\/472927\/1024x576_bonus-Solarrr.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Almost a year ago, a similar invention was put together by students of Ghana\u2019s Premier engineering university, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (<span class=\"caps\">KNUST<\/span>) located in the resource rich Ashanti region.<\/p>\n<p>The first version of the environmentally friendly automobile was outdoored during a graduation ceremony of the university. The invention of the 4\u00d74 vehicle was in partnership with the Technical University of Munich, the state-owned Daily Graphic reported at the time.<\/p>\n<p>It was developed by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Physics, and is seen as a breakthrough for the West African nation as it explores ways to build a more robust automobile industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Kenyan student is the latest inventor of a solar powered automobile and his invention is making the rounds on the country\u2019s social media space.
