This was announced by the chairman of Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, Dr. Mike Ajogwu, SAN at the commission\u2019s secretariat in Enugu\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Sunday. He\u00a0<\/span><\/span>declared PDP candidates winners of the chairmanship positions in ALL the 17 local government areas in the state.<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"col-md-12 col-lg-8\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>PDP candidates equally won the ALL councillorship elections in all the wards.\u00a0There are 260 wards in Enugu State, and, according to ENSIEC, voting did not take place in two of the wards \u2013 Obioma and Eke wards in Udi Local Government Area.<\/div>\n<div>Eke Ward is the home of some APC stalwarts in Enugu State, including Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, and foreign affairs minister, Mr. Godfrey Onyeama.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>PDP swept all the 258 wards which were declared by the electoral commission. \u00a0The development meant that only PDP members occupy elective positions at all levels of government in Enugu State.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em><strong>APC REJECTS RESULTS<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All Progressives Congress has rejected the results announced by ENSIEC. \u00a0\u00a0Chairman of the APC in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, described the polls as \u201ca sham\u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dr. \u00a0Nwoye said, \u201cLike I predicted yesterday, the ENSIEC chairman, Dr. Mike Ajogwu, has rubbished himself with this sham he put together in the name of election just to satisfy his paymasters, the PDP. \u00a0\u201cIt is quite unfortunate that there was widespread of violence and blood berth in Enugu today, just simply because ENSIEC wants to please the PDP.
