Abba Abubakar, the son of Nigeria’s current Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Rasheed, has bagged a Ph.D degree at university of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.<\/div>\n
Abba posted photos of his graduation on his Facebook page.<\/div>\n

Some outraged Nigerians have taken to social media to express their anger after pictures of Abba\u2019s graduation went viral online.<\/div>\n

They are troubled by the fact that the son of a former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano and Executive Secretary of NUC, meant to promote quality higher education in Nigeria, would study abroad while universities in the country are in bad shape.<\/div>\n

Facebook user Uchendu Synchro is calling for the immediate resignation of the NUC boss.<\/div>\n

He posted: \u201cDisheartening!!!<\/div>\n

May I use this medium to call on well meaning and patriotic Nigerians to come out en mass and condemn this public show of unpatriotism from a public servant who sits and presides over the affairs of activities in our National Universities Commission.<\/div>\n
I’m calling for the collection of over 10,000 signatures from concern Nigerians to call for the immediate resignation of this official infra: Prof. Adamu Abubakar Rasheed, mni, MFR.\u201d<\/div>\n
