\u00a0Dec. 28, 2017: George Weah, the president elect in Liberia believes Didier Drogba can also serve his people by entering politics, \u201cFollow the same path,\u201d Weah passed (a message) to Drogba.<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

It started with a tweet from ex-Ghanaian international, Anthony Baffoe, congratulating George Weah for his political strides after the just ended presidential runoff.<\/p>\n

Baffoe\u2019s message quoted Nelson Mandela in part and described Weah as a \u2018great man.\u2019 It was in the wake of viral reports that he had won the vote.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Merci Didier de ton soutien, nous sommes tous les deux soucieux et conscients du destin de nos peuples. Suivons le m\u00eame chemin…”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then Didier Drogba, former Ivorian skipper responded by quoting Baffoe\u2019s tweet and extending congrats to the 51-year-old former World Footballer. \u201cIt is indeed!!!!!! F\u00e9licitations Mr Georges,\u201d his tweet read.<\/p>\n

Twenty-four hours later with the elections body, NEC<\/span>, readying to release provisional results of the polls, Weah who typically in English and French responded by thanking Drogba and offering some political advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cMerci Didier de ton soutien, nous sommes tous les deux soucieux et conscients du destin de nos peuples. Suivons le m\u00eame chemin\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

A translation of which is: \u201cThanks Didier for the support, we are both conscious and aware of the fate of our people. Follow the same path.\u201d<\/p>\n
