{"id":9606,"date":"2018-04-04T10:25:14","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T16:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nigerianews.ca\/?post_type=news&#038;p=9606"},"modified":"2018-04-04T10:25:14","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T16:25:14","slug":"dangote-farms-to-partner-with-ondo-state-government-in-rice-production","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/nigerianews.ca\/news\/dangote-farms-to-partner-with-ondo-state-government-in-rice-production\/","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Farms to partner with Ondo State Government In Rice Production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dangote Farms to partner with Ondo State Government In Rice Production- As ODSG agitates for Establishment of Rice Mills.<\/p>\n<p>The General Manager Dangote Rice Limited , Dr. Sanni Dawop , has announced that Dangote rice has concluded plan to partner with Ondo State government in the area of rice production.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the group shown on Wednesday that the project was part of the Dangote \u2019s Rice Outgrower Scheme.<\/p>\n<p>He said , \u201c We have continued to pioneer new approaches to empowering our Youths, and young graduates through rice production, thereby creating thousands of jobs and increasing incomes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Our mission is to reduce poverty in the Society by providing high quality agro- inputs , technical support and secured market for farmers as well as to make permanent and sustainable impact. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Our vision is to produce 10m tonnes of rice into Nigeria market by year 2020 and we are ready to establish 10 rice mills in Nigeria. &#8221; he said<\/p>\n<p>About 18,000 hectares of land are suitable for rice planting, thousands of graduates are expected to benefit from Ondo State Government\u2019s partnership arrangement with Dangote Group in a project that will create employment and as well boost the economy of this state.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; We want to use this medium to urge Dangote Rice Limited to constructs rice processing mill here, Ondo State is blessed with fertile land.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Araromi to Lekki road is under construction, and its less than hour, we can assure you the road would be completed within a year, as this will also be an added advantage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; This was disclosed by the Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Adefarati Gboyega and Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Agriculture, Pastor Akin Olotu on Wednesday. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In attendance were; Mr Chandra- Dangote GM Tomatoes; Mrs Adegbola Elizabeth- Extension Manager; Mr Johnson Olaniyi- Director of Sales.<\/p>\n<p>Others include; Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Special Duties, Barr.
