Google boss Sundar Pichai said the multinational was \u201creally looking forward\u201d to opening the centre.<\/p>\n
The centre will open later this year in Accra, the company said in an official statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re committed to collaborating with local universities and research centers, as well as working with policy makers on the potential uses of AI in Africa,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n
The Accra office will join similar AI research centres in places like Paris, Tel Aviv, and, of course, San Francisco.<\/p>\n
