Nov 8, 2017: Former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh has been named the best coach in the first round of the Dutch second tier, the Jupiler League.<\/address>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n

Oliseh, 43, is currently manager of the club side, Fortuna Sittard. The club sits third on the league after 12 weeks, marking the end to the first round of the 20-team league.<\/p>\n

He was awarded a \u2018Bronze bull plaque\u2019 along with his captain, Perr Schuurs, who was also named best player over the period.<\/p>\n

He resigned as manager of Nigeria\u2019s national football team, the Super Eagles in 2016 citing contract violations and other administrative issues. He took over the reigns in July 2015 after another ex-player the late Stephen Keshi was sacked from the role.<\/p>\n

The widely traveled midfielder has had professional stints with AFC<\/span> Ajax (Holland), Borussia Dortmund (Germany) and Juventus FC (Italy). He won the Dutch and German leagues during his stints.<\/p>\n

He is a technical member of football\u2019s world governing body, FIFA<\/span>; an Olympic gold medalist (1996) and 1994 winner of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON<\/span>).<\/p>\n
