December 18, 2017:  A viral video shared online yesterday, shows how a police officer refused to collect N100 bribe from a motorcycle rider.

The policeman apprehended the cyclist for committing a traffic offence in Badagry.   After the video went viral, the attention of the commissioner of Police, Lagos state, Edgal Imohimi, ordered for the arrest of the police officer.

The said officer who is attached to the Morogbo police station, has been arrested and is currently being investigated. If found guilty, the police boss says the officer will be punished accordingly.

I-Kay Freeman who shared the video on Facebook, wrote: “Had an encounter with a drunk policeman today. I was on a bike, he stopped the bike man, was asking for particulars, whole scenerio was funny until he released a bullet and treathened to shoot us, that was when I decided to record the video. I wish this video gets to people that would take action.”
