Virgin Australia is almost half-way through a three-year turnaround plan.

December 24, 2017: British carrier, Virgin Atlantic, has indicated plans to review its bilateral agreement with the federal government through the ministry of aviation.

The review according to the Country Manager of the airline in Nigeria, Samuel Lindfield, will enable the British carrier to increase the seven frequencies it is presently enjoying the Lagos/London route weekly.

The need to apply for more frequency on the lucrative route will afford the airline the chance to cope with the heavy traffic on the route.

According to information gathered, the bulk of the airline passengers on the Lagos/London route are Nigerians in the outgoing year.

The ratio of percentage of Nigerians that fly with the airline is 60% compared with other nationals.

Confirming this during a media conference held by the airline in Lagos, Samuel Lindfield, the Country Manager of the airline in Nigeria and Liezi Gericke, the Head of Middle East and Africa, the officers expressed happiness for the tremendous support they enjoyed from Nigerian travelers, calling on more Nigerians to patronize the airline in 2018.
