File photo: President Buhari and Mr Oyegun
President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr John Oyegun, behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Chief Oyegun declined to brief State House correspondents on his mission to the President but some of those who saw him said he walked briskly out of the Villa on Friday.
The APC Chairman’s visit may not be unconnected to the letter written to him by one of the party leaders, Senator Bola Tinubu, who accused him of sabotaging his reconciliation assignment in the party.
President Buhari, as well as the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo; the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, Mr Tinubu, were copied in the letter. – CTV
