[PHOTOS] Aregbesola breaks the jinx of the abandoned Ijesa water project of close to 40 years
Water is Life! The Ijesha people in Osun State appreciates a worthy son of Ijesaland Rauf Aregbesola for breaking the jinx of the abandoned Ijesa water project of close to 40 years.
The Water Dam at Kajola, a distance of about 30Km to Ilesa that will supply 60,000 cubic meters daily is almost completed with overhead high voltage cable to power the booster stations at advanced stage.
More of the specialized pipes required for pumping of water from the dam to the 3 booster stations have arrived Osogbo railway station for onward transmission to Ilesa.
Laying of these pipes will commence in few days. For emphasis sake , the Ilesa water project is the biggest single project in the history of our state.
Osun State government commends Islamic Development Bank, World Bank and the Federal Government of Nigeria for their support as well.
LEGACY project for Ijesaland.
