December 4, 2017: Fraud: For failing to appear in court for his re-arraignment over alleged money laundering involving N4.5bn state funds, Justice Chuka Obiozor of a Federal High Court Lagos on Monday December 4, 2017 ordered the arrest of Chimaroke Nnamani, a former Enugu State governor.
Justice Obiozor, the 4th judge to handle Nnamani’s case since it began in 2007 ruled that his lawyer failed to give a “tenable reason” for his absence and made it clear attempt to further delay trial won’t be tolerated. Judge also ordered arrest of Nnamani’s aide, Sunday Anyaogu.
