The Nigerian Senate @NGRSenate just passed the Digital Rights and Freedom Bill!
After two years of hard work, the bill has now successfully scaled the two houses of Nigeria’s National Assembly.
Presidential Assent is next!
The bill, a product of the 2014 Internet Freedom Forum, was in 2016 sponsored by Hon @emekaujam at the House of Representatives and was successfully passed at the @HouseNGR in December 2017.
3 months later, the @NGRSenate concurred with its sister house and passed the bill!
