Fayose jabs Buhari again: “No President will walk on Red Carpet when visiting State where 110 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Sane Climes”
Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari for walking on red carpet while visiting Yobe State where Boko Haram kidnapped 110 schoolgirls.
It has taken almost a month for the president to visit Dapchi school where the girls were abducted, and when he finally did he walked on red carpet.
Unfortunately, the visit does not appear to have left either parents or Nigerian social media users impressed, after pictures emerged of his large entourage and the red carpet which was rolled out on his arrival.
Buhari and his crew flew in on at least 6 helicopters to address the students, relatives and teachers of the kidnapped girls on Wednesday.
He promised “there will be no rest” until the schoolgirls were found.
One mother of two missing girls questioned where those soldiers were when her daughters were taken.
Reacting to this insensitivity, Fayose on Thursday said: “In saner climes, no President will walk on Red Carpet when they visit a State where 110 school girls were abducted by insurgents and their whereabouts is unknown.”
